Repurpose a 1930s Toaster
By: A cateyegirl  -  7/8/2013
Short Story
Repurpose a 1930s toaster into a fireproof container for a votive in your outdoor living room. repurpose, repurposing, repurposed, toaster, cateyegirls, cat eye girls

Long Story
Sifting through boxes of inventory I tripped on a toaster and thought, "Nobody is actually going to ever plug this in...to a receptacle.  So instead of being just a dust collector . . . What can it be?"

Hmmm . . . remove unwanted elements from the inside of said toaster, place a votive candle inside and now it can serve up candlelight instead of toast or, worse yet, a really shocking experience!

Repurposing for us comes in fits and starts.  Sometimes you see an element that has outlived its usefulness and instantly see it as something else and the next thing you know you are on a repurposing roll.  How about you . . . where does your repurposing inspiration come from?
